Bobbie B.

Breeder of German Shepherds

Meet the breeder

I'm Bobbie B., the breeder behind Shield Kennels located in Rose, OK. Located in the Ozark area of Oklahoma. When you get a puppy from us you become a part of the Shield Family. WY litter will be the last litter for a while with GSDs. Yakuts of the Ozarks will be our new venture in dogs. We are working towards full recognition in AKC.

Q. & A. with Bobbie

  • Why did you start breeding?

My husband and I both loved the idea of working with dogs and because my husband grew up with a very well trained and amazing German Shepherd and I have seen what amazing family and working dogs they are we decided to start a kennel to breed top German Shepherds true to German lines. We have now added Yakutian Laikas to our program.
  • What makes your program special?

The GSD have been our passion for several years we have produced several service dogs from our breedings with the help of PAWS K9 in Colorado. We are moving to the awesome rare breed Yakutian Laika. They are a great diverse breed and was used for sledding, herding, protection and family dog. They are very biddable for a Northern breed.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Our puppies include stock and long coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include sable, black, and black and red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
