I'm Joanna K., the breeder behind Shiloh's Shepherds & Ridgebacks located in Holden, MO. We pride ourselves in DNA health and structurally tested breeders with excellent dispositions and diverse genetics. We are also in the process of getting certified dog training under our belt.

Why did you start breeding?
I began breeding German Shepherds and Rhodesian Ridgebacks as I desired others to also have the privilege of sharing their lives with these spectacular breeds.What makes your program special?
Our dogs get the best of care and are a part of our family life. We believe that a great dog results from being part of a great pack. Our puppies are socialized and given lots of love from birth. We do incorporate puppy culture in our puppy rearing. Our puppies are given excellent nutrition and nutritional supplements, so that their immune systems are healthy and strong.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our Rhodesian Ridgeback puppies include rd whtn brn nose and rd whtn blk nose. German Shepherd puppies include sable and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Puppy prices include a $200 non-refundable deposit and between $1,000 - $2,300 final payment, before taxes & fees.

About Petra
Petra is a spunky and incredibly agile girl. She loves the companionship of both her human and dog family. She is incredibly smart and has a piercing wolf like gaze. She was one of our beloved pups from Lilah, born in our home. She does boast working/ European lines. Her sire also has multiple titles. She is third generation of OFA hip and elbow certified dogs. She is genetically clear and carries for chocolate, so we're looking forward to some chocolate pups down the road.

About Timber
Timber is an active, sweet hearted boy with medium drive. He has a very striking appearance and steady gaze. He is a great family protector, aims to please and has lovely foosing. He does have working lines in his pedigree. He produces very balanced puppies that are very easy to train and apt to please.

About Lilah
Incredibly sweet and loyal. Lilah is smart as a whip and incredibly attentive. She gets along very well with other dogs and is great with our children. She has a very bomb proof disposition. She is a stunning dark sable with lots of silver tones. She's very strongly working lines and has a number of imports in her lines.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

Sugar Paw Pets was great to work with. They transported Zuva and was very communicative throughout the process. After the first Vet visit, we learned Zuva had an ear infection and a couple of other puppy issues. I notified Sugar Paw Pets and they reimbursed for the medications. Would recommend!

Great, it was an easy process, excellent communication, Mrs Joanna was professional and very knowledgeable about GSD's. Our baby boy is a firecracker full of personality! We've had our hands full with him, but he's growing so fast! I would recommend Shiloh's Shepherds & Ridgebacks to anyone looking for a solid GSD breed dog.
