I'm Sylvia H., the breeder behind Silvan Bassets located in Catlettsburg, KY. Our dogs excel in the ring and as beloved companions. We are very proud of their accomplishments and those of their puppies. Our breeding program stands out because of the personal attention we give to every detail of the journey. From researching breeding pairs and conducting health testing, to purposefully raising each pup with proper socialization and care, our goal is to help preserve this historic breed.

"the price includes a guarantee of health at the time of purchase, a vet examination, vaccinated a least twice, AKC papers, guarantee of free from serious health defects that would prevent puppy from fulfilling its purpose as a companion. All puppies are considered a companion animal unless otherwise agreed upon for show. we prefer not to accept deposit until we actually have puppies on the ground. We consider a deposit to hold a puppy until a prearranged date to pick up."

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
