I'm Rebecca H., the breeder behind SilverBay GunDogs located in Fontana, CA. We offer top quality, loving family members and versatile sporting dogs for field and conformation. We are proud of our program. Our dogs are bred with health being the utmost importance followed by structure and temperament. While we do compete with all our dogs, they’re also our family pets. We love helping new people in the breed by educating and mentoring.
Q. & A. with Rebecca
Why did you start breeding?
I decided when I graduated college that having a Weimaraner was the best-suited dog for me. Due to unfortunate circumstances, my first Weimaraner died very young and that propelled me into the breed and health awareness. I volunteered for rescue for quite a long time before I decided to return to the fancy. I spent many years researching the breed and the direction I wanted to go.
What makes your program special?
My breeding program is pretty unique. We are very connected to our families, and most we see several times a year at training events I host, or fun days. Because of the emphasis we put on the temperament of each dog we put a lot into the way we raise 0-8 week old puppies preparing them to be ready to take on the world. We make ourselves available to continue to foster proper training and mentoring. We truly want is best for our puppies and their forever homes.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
