Melissa H.

Breeder of Weimaraners

Meet the breeder

I'm Melissa H., the breeder behind Sindar Weimaraners located in Wagener, SC. As the owner of Sindar Kennel and president of the Weimaraner Rescue of South Carolina, my life is dedicated to creating better lives for all dogs. We breed our Weimaraners for temperament and to the highest ethical standard.

Q. & A. with Melissa

  • Why did you start breeding?

I love dogs, especially Weimaraners, and want to help the breed thrive with a small, responsible breeding program. Since 1991 I've only bred 4 litters of Weimaraners, most recently in 2015. But, I am open to breeding more in the future!
  • What makes your program special?

I'm dedicated to finding great homes and shaping great lives for every dog through cutting-edge, science-based behavioral techniques. I pride myself on using the knowledge I've acquired through my years of education and experience to raise great puppies.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
