Meet the breeder

I'm Shal A., the breeder behind Skye Terriers ‘Of Wallace’s Coven’ located in Charlotte, NC. My goal is to produce a great representation of the Skye Terrier and to continue improving the line with each generation. My love for Skye Terriers inspired me to share this breed with the world in a responsible way. I devote my time, energy, and attention to each litter to ensure puppies get the best start in life. I take pride in what I do and am excited to introduce your family to your next puppy!

Q. & A. with Shal

  • Why did you start breeding?

Breeding was never something I saw myself doing, but it was something I was meant to do. And with the guidance of my breeders, mentors and amazing vets I took the leap. The rest is history. Each experience brings its own challenges and rewards. I’ve had such amazing support, and hope it continues to guide me in the years ahead also.
  • What makes your program special?

The standard of the breed is of utmost importance. My biggest priority is to focus on representing these details in my Skyes as accurately as possible. A true Skye is a balance of the type and temperament and I hope to continue striving for both, improving them with every generation.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
