I'm Judy M., the breeder behind Sleeping Lady Bouviers located in Anchorage, AK. Sleeping Lady's Bouvier des Flandres specializes in quality dogs. We are an American Kennel Club Breeder of Merit. Of primary importance is disposition, health testing and conformation. Our dogs are excellent show quality dogs with dispositions that lend them to being wonderful pets as well. Our puppies are raised in our home and are well socialized; we emphasize nutrition and proper veterinary care. After our puppies go to their new home at the age of 10 weeks, we continue to support their new owners and care for the dogs throughout their lives.
Q. & A. with Judy
Why did you start breeding?
Judy has always had dogs. Then, in the late 90's she fell in love with Bouviers. She started showing and one thing led to another and she became a breeder.
What makes your program special?
We focus on temperament, conformation, and health. Sleeping Lady's Bouviers has produced multiple national number one Bouviers. And equally important, our dogs are life long companions who are adored by their forever families. We usually have one litter every year or every few years. Judy raises every litter herself. The puppies are very well socialized - both with people and other dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
