I'm the breeder behind Smithville Hay Livestock Guardian Dogs located in Smithville, MO. We breed well-rounded Anatolian Shepherd Dogs for farm work and for responsible companion homes. Our dogs excel at their jobs. Our objective is to raise dogs that are great at their work, but also willing to settle in with the family at the end of the day. We place our puppies in homes that will be suited to their temperament and ability.

Getting a puppy from Susan
Susan has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Price
Puppy prices include a $200 non-refundable deposit and between $200 - $1,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.
“Our first priority is that our puppies go to working farms so they lead the life for which they are intended. Our prices are beyond fair, but the dogs are priceless. We ask for half down to hold your puppy. To take a puppy off the market we require a $200, non-refundable deposit. We only have these 2 litters from very special, successful livestock guardian dogs. We had them because it was so difficult for us to find a dog to protect our goats and we wanted to pay it forward. You would be so lucky to get ones of these puppies.”
Contract & health guarantee
Susan may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.
