Q. & A. with Jennifer

  • Why did you start breeding?

Founded in 2014, Smoky Mountain Pomskies has grown from a single beloved puppy into a trusted Pomsky breeding program. With our own established lines since 2015, we maintain high standards in health testing, temperament, and ethical breeding practices. Every puppy is raised in a loving environment with early socialization and the highest level of care. We are committed to transparency, responsible ownership, and providing families with confident, healthy companions. Our relationship with clients doesn’t end at adoption—we remain a resource and support system for the lifetime of each dog.
  • What makes your program special?

We truly care about our dogs, our puppies, and the families who welcome them home. Our owners become our friends, and we are committed to providing the highest level of customer care throughout the entire adoption process—and long after. All of our dogs and puppies are raised in our home and socialized daily with our children, giving them confident, people-loving personalities. We are constantly striving to improve—both in the quality of the Pomskies we produce and the support we provide to our puppy families.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies include toy, mini, and standard sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include gray and white, black and white, chocolate, merle, and red and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

I cannot adequately express how wonderful Jennifer and her whole program at Smoky Mountain Pomskies truly is. Jennifer is incredibly knowledgeable about the breed! I did extensive research before deciding on a pomsky but I still had a few questions that Jennifer was able to provide definitive answers for. I really appreciated that she provided temperament tests for the whole litter, as this is an excellent way to determine the puppy's compatibility with your household and your lifestyle. Additionally, Jennifer went WAY above and beyond with the puppy kit she sent us home with, and even provided further guidance and insight after I brought my little one home. My little girl, Willa, is the absolute sweetest and smartest little fluffcake. When I got her, she was already partially potty trained, crate trained, socialized, and so responsive to early training due to her early life with Jennifer! I've never seen a more dedicated and thorough breeding program in my life. I tell everyone who will listen to check out Smoky Mountain Pomskies!
