I'm Cynthia F., the breeder behind Sno-Cub Alaskan Malamutes located in Lake Preston, SD. I put the majority of emphasis of the health of the breed when breeding. I have done quite a bit of showing over the years. I also participate in Rally with one of my dogs, another dog I have gotten into fast cat. I presently only have 2 dogs and I have all the necessary health tests on both of them.

Brucellosis
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
Hereditary (Juvenile) Cataracts (HC; JC), Primary Ciliary Dyskinesia, Kartagner Syndrome (PCD), Full Embark Panel, Orivet Genetics, Full Breed Profile, Polyneuropathy (NDRG1), Alaskan Malamute Type
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
