I'm Gina P., the breeder behind SnoFox Samoyeds located in Washburn, WI. My puppies are very important to me. I try to teach them as much as possible in the first two months of life, starting with the day they are born. I no longer work so that raising this litter of puppies becomes my only job. It is my full responsibility to be sure it is always done correctly.
Q. & A. with Gina
Why did you start breeding?
We purchased our first Samoyed in 2011. Abby was my first show dog and is everything I ever dreamed of and more. At 6 months, I took her to her first dog show, a UKC show in Mechanicsburg, PA. I knew nothing. At the show, Abby placed into groups. After, the judge came up to me gave me her e-mail and asked me to send her some photos of Abby. And that was just the beginning...
What makes your program special?
My puppies are more than just pretty faces in the conformations ring. We do lure coursing, herding, bikejoring, skijouring, carting and dog sledding. I have tried to expose my pups to as much as possible so that they become used to normal household activities. This way, they will be ready for a well-rounded and secure lifestyle when you bring your puppy home.
All my Samoyeds have extreme health testing done. Don't be fooled by the breeders who only do hips and eyes, There are so many more tests that should be done.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
