I'm Cindy H., the breeder behind Sno-Ridge Alaskan Malamutes est 1972 located in Mc Henry, IL. We are a small kennel in Northwest suburb of Illinois. We breed for quality not quantity. Sno-Ridge is home to “Tyce” The Number 1 Alaskan Malamute in the USA for 2023 - 2 time Best of Breed Westminster Winner! Home of Multiple Best in Show, National Specialty and Top Producers since 1972. All our dogs are certified AKC Champions, OFA certified good or excellent hips, elbows normal, eyes normal, cardiac normal, polyneuropathy normal and clear of Primary Ciliary Dyskinesia in the Alaskan Malamute . We breed for good health and sweet temperaments with beauty, brains and brawn. Generations of AKC Champions. Our dogs are raised in the house and are well socialized with people and other dogs.

Why did you start breeding?
I am second generation dog breeder. My late mother (Eileen Kinnas) was my mentor.
What makes your program special?
Our kennel is over 55 years old now. I have been studying this magnificent breed forever.. I am fortunate to know all of the dogs in the pedigrees for generations. Making sure all heath requirement’s have been done… and knowing all the temperaments are sound. Health and temperament is our priority.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are gray and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

They live in my home.

About Dior
Dior is a female Alaskan Malamute. Carefully selected as a great representative of her breed, Cindy decided to make her part of their program. Cindy has passed Good Dog’s screening process, which involved a review of their breeding practices, environment, and the mental and physical health of their dogs.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
