I'm Emma W., the breeder behind Snow Peak Kennel located in Silver Summit, UT. Puppies are exposed to a variety of things before leaving. Car rides, nail trims, started on potty training outside or to a litter pan. They leave confident and healthy.

Why did you start breeding?
Breeding has run in my family since I was a child. Back in Australia, my mother bred registered APBT's and Staffordshire Bull Terriers.
What makes your program special?
I pride myself on being honest and transparent with puppy buyers. I do not lie about parents or puppies weights, and all pictures are of my own dogs and puppies who all live in my home. I am extremely communicative and give multiple updates weekly. If I dont think my program or a puppy I have available is a good match for a buyer, I am honest about it and offer them to search elsewhere.
What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our Chihuahua puppies have long coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our Chihuahua puppies include black, merle, chocolate blue, and chocolate and tan. Bracco Italiano puppies include white and orange and white and chestnut. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Emma

Emma has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Emma partners with them to find the best puppy match.

"My puppies go to the best homes available to and for them. If I dont think a match will work out, any deposit given will be returned without issue. Bracco Italiano puppies will be tested for drive at around 6-7 weeks old or so and the results from that will be shared with waiting owners. Picks can be made but with my helpful information."

Price

Puppy prices include a $350 non-refundable deposit and between $1,850 - $4,650 final payment, before taxes & fees.

"Price includes registration papers, all age appropriate vet visits, and the care and time I put in to raising my litters. Deposits are only returned if a problem arises on my end, or I deem the match no longer suitable."

Pretty little Yuki. She is having her hernia checked out by the vet tomorrow and will then be available for a deposit! She has garnered quite the interest these past couple of days and we're hoping for her to finally be reserved for a forever home. This morning she weighed in at just under 21oz.

AKC & NAVHDA registered. Handler oriented and focused, R2 lives for being with his people. He has an exceptional off switch, but when working, would run himself into the ground if allowed. He is stubborn and hardheaded with a loud hound like mouth, but his natural instinct for birds has been present since his birth. He has a love of hunting the right game birds, as he has never gone after our chickens despite his drive for the hunt.

AKC & NAVHDA registered. Stamina for days, Ro would go out working nonstop if she could. Her off switch is near nonexistent in place of astounding work ethic. She is very birdy with an insatiable prey drive and high energy. She is very obedient and much softer to negative reinforcement, but bounces back extremely quick.

Quinn has been an independent and active member of our family since the moment we brought her home. She loves being out and being active, and will usually throw a tantrum if she sees us getting our bikes out without her, or starting up our UTV and not bringing her. Her personality is very cat-like in the home. She is very social and well behaved. Our vet gushes about her personality every visit.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
DNA Repository
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

My husband and I got our bracco italiano puppy from Emma. She was so wonderful to work with! She made the process of looking for and adopting our best friend so meaningful, easy, and fun! She was so responsive and inclusive that we felt like the connection with our puppy started from the day he was born. We had such a wonderful experience with this breeder. Tika has been the absolute perfect fit for me and my family. She’s energetic and playful, but also incredibly cuddly, and she very clearly knows who her mom is. We were especially impressed that she was already doing so well with potty training—she immediately goes pee or poop as soon as she touches the grass. Emma was absolutely amazing throughout this entire experience. It is so clear how much knowledge she has on pet care and needs and how much she genuinely loves all the pups she cares for. She communicated openly and regularly with us and helped us prepare to bring home our little guy! When we met for pickup she was extremely accommodating and helpful. Flik came home so well adjusted and accustomed to using his pee pad and sleeping in his crate. Our friends and family can’t believe how well behaved and confident he is at just 10 weeks old now. Can’t imagine a better scenario!!

Emma is fantastic! I am so pleased by my experience in getting our long hair Chihuahua Anubis. He has been so sweet and came with a great foundation towards potty training, socialization, and basic commands. They also took the time to desensitize him to loud noises and grooming/nail trimming which has made a world of difference. We've been so pleased we're already planning to watch for their next litter. Anubis has been the perfect addition to our family!
