I'm Colleen R., the breeder behind Snowcrest Jack Russell Terriers located in Flagstaff, AZ. We put a great deal of thought into each litter, our goal being to produce the best puppies that we can, knowing that many of them will be cherished members of a family. We strive for excellence in all disciplines, with a focus on temperament, structure, and working ability.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    My family bred Fox Terriers and Whippets when I was growing up. It was a natural crossover.
  • What makes your program special?

    We put a great deal of thought into each litter, our goal being to produce the best puppies that we can, knowing that many of them will be cherished members of a family. We strive for excellence in all disciplines, with a focus on temperament, structure, and working ability. Snowcrest terriers are registered with the Jack Russell Terrier Club of America (JRTCA). Our dogs are OFA tested, and their data are recorded with the JRT Healthy Registry.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include tri-color, white, tan and white, and black and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Colleen

Colleen has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

Colleen partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 6 weeks old.

“We can begin to match puppies once they are old enough for us to evaluate their temperament and personality. Typically 6-7 weeks old.”

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and $2,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“We require a $500.00 deposit to reserve a puppy. The balance to be paid before or at pickup. . When a puppy is available and agreed upon. Then a deposit $200.00 deposit is made.”

Contract & health guarantee

Colleen may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.     Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Congenital Deafness (BAER, registered with OFA), JRTCA Registry

    A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
