I'm Ivy S., the breeder behind Social Point Gun Dogs located in Social Circle, GA. We care deeply about German Shorthaired Pointers and have built that love and respect for the breed into every aspect of our program. We are dedicated to always having responsible policies when it comes to breeding, training, and rehoming our pups. We love what we do and truly want nothing more than to see each and every one of our puppies shine!
Q. & A. with Ivy
Why did you start breeding?
In 2015 we purchased our first GSP, Rhett. We fell in love with him and about 2 years later we purchased our second GSP, Sadie. After health clearances we decided to breed and fell in love with the first little pup born, who is now known as Mae. Shortly after Mae was born we were contacted about adopting a 6 month old male, Drake. Drake came to us just as a temporary placement, but we fell in love and haven’t looked back. In December of 2022 we added Glory to our family from Mae and Drake’s December litter.
What makes your program special?
Our dogs are not just dogs, but FAMILY! We take great pride in spending a lot of time socializing our pups and making sure they have top quality care and nutrition and find their perfect forever homes.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include white and liver, liver roan, and liver and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
