I'm Michelle W., the breeder behind Sogne Fjord German Shepherds & Cardigans located in Visalia, CA. I have a passion for excellence and healthy family pets. I strive to produce mentally sound and structurally correct German Shepherd puppies! All my dogs are health tested prior to breeding. Many are titled with either championships or herding titles. My goal is to ensure my dogs are with the right people that will provide them with the appropriate care, love, exercise, and mental stimulation to ensure a happy and healthy companion. I look forward to connecting with you!
Q. & A. with Michelle
Why did you start breeding?
I grew up with a German Shepherd kennel and my earliest memories involve playing vet or working with dogs. After completing my education and establishing myself, I got back into German Shepherds, and as they say, the rest is history! It is such an honor to preserve the line of these incredible dogs all the while creating companionship for others.
What makes your program special?
My goals are to produce solid dogs that are sound and versatile. By that, I mean dogs that perform a variety of tasks, such as SAR, service work, herding, obedience, agility, and conformation. I want my dogs to be structurally correct and capable of doing the tasks they were bred to perform. I want nothing more than to see each and every one of my puppies shine!
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include sable, black, black and tan, black and red, and bi-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
