I'm Elizabeth W., the breeder behind Solid Gold Samoyeds located in Grand Haven, MI. We show, train and breed Samoyeds on a limited basis and occasionally have puppies for sale. We are also obedience trainers, giving us expertise in the field of socializing dogs.

Why did you start breeding?
Even before we met in April of 1999 and got married we were active breeders and trainers. Liz bred Samoyeds while Mike bred Pomeranians. When we fell in love and started our lives together, our breeding programs united as "Solid Gold Samoyeds".What makes your program special?
We are obedience trainers, giving us expertise in the field of socializing dogs. We also are members of numerous clubs, and we hold our dogs to the highest of standards. To date, we have finished over 20 AKC champions.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
