I'm Cara E., the breeder behind Sonoran Desert Doods located in Peoria, AZ. We treasure each F1b Goldendoodle puppy in our program and give them all the attention and care that we possibly can. We work hard so our puppies can leave our home with confidence, ready to take on the world with their new family!
Q. & A. with Cara
Why did you start breeding?
Unfortunately some of us have had a bad experience with a breeder, a puppy or adult dog. Our family has personally been through it. I never want another family to experience losing a puppy to parvo or dealing with an adult dog that has bad behaviors due to being improperly bred, not exposed to early stimulation and desensitized to noises. I'm here to set a standard for the breeding process!
What makes your program special?
Our breeding program follows the "Badass Breeder" program aka BAB. We follow a strict puppy curriculum and evaluations to set puppies and future families up for success! We participate in early neurological stimulation and noise desensitization.
Benefits of ENS:
1. Improved Cardiovascular Performance
2. Stronger heartbeats
3. Stronger adrenal glands
4. More tolerant to stress
5. Greater resistance to disease
Benefits of Noise Desensitization:
Dogs that are safely and gradually exposed to many different experiences, including loud noises, during their essential socialisation period of 3 to 16 weeks of age, are often able to cope more effectively with novel, frightening sounds like fireworks, loud engine, wind, the doorbell or the vacuum noises.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are standard size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include apricot, chocolate, black, and phantom. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

I can’t say enough good things about Sonoran Desert Doods! They are highly responsive to all questions you could have and super knowledgeable. We are so happy with our sweet boy and would definitely recommend getting a puppy from Sonoran Desert Doods. They start off in such a caring home that it makes such an easy transition for their puppies to integrate into your home.
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
