I'm Katie P., the breeder behind Sophia Jade's Chi Brigade located in Augusta, GA. I have such a love for this breed. I began in chihuahua rescue and immediately saw a need in this breed for someone with a dog behavior background who understands the needs of tiny dogs in a giant world. My background is as a dog trainer and a Marine Corps Canine Handler.

  • What makes your program special?

    I place a very strong emphasis on health and temperament in my breeding program (and structure of course). We utilize a modified puppy culture process for raising our litters and it really has had a huge effect on raising balanced, happy, easy going, wonderfully well-rounded babies, who transition to new homes very easily.

  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Our puppies include smooth and long coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include black, black sabled fawn, blue fawn, chocolate blue, chocolate brindled fawn, chocolate sabled fawn, black and white, blue merle, blue and tan, chocolate and white, chocolate and tan, cream and white, and black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Katie

Katie has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Katie partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Price

Puppy prices include a $750 non-refundable deposit and between $1,250 - $4,250 final payment, before taxes & fees.

"This price includes first vaccines, initial physical and vet check and dewormings (if puppies have a positive fecal for parasties (otherwise I do not automatically deworm)). Most puppies are priced individually around age 4-5 weeks, after a full evaluation of each puppy can take place (unless it's a repeat litter and then they can be priced earlier)."

Katie may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.   • Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Patellar Luxation

    Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.

  • DNA Disease Panel

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
