I'm Anne B., the breeder behind Spindletop Airedale Terriers located in Georgetown, TX. Airedale Terrier Club of American member since 1981, founding member of the Lone Star Airedale Terrier Club, on the Code Of Ethics Airedale Terrier Club of America's breeder referral list--the best source for a quality pup and the ONLY place we recommend you find a pup. When screening a breeder, ASK for OFA hip, elbow and heart clearances on BOTH parents. Our quality Airedales have competed at the highest level in the breed ring and in performance sports. Sires and dams have hips, elbows and heart clearances as do multiple generations behind the parents. We do not ship, we do need to meet you prior to the day the pup goes home.

Why did you start breeding?
I bought my first Airedale from a long-time breeder who showed his dogs. He encouraged me to show the one I bought from him and the rest is history! I am passionate about the health and wellbeing of this breed, and I want my program to be an example of how to responsibly breed high-quality, healthy dogs.What makes your program special?
Spindletop has produced two #1 Airedales in conformation, 4 multiple group winners, and several top 5 Airedales; have won BOB at the ATCA National; 2 BOS at the National, 2 Winners Bitches at Nationals, 3 RWB at nationals & 4 Best in Sweeps winners at Nationals. My dogs are versatile, titling in numerous events. I am the immediate past president of the Airedale Terrier Club of AmericaWhat are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Price
"Pups are microchipped, first shots given at 8 weeks, wormed and see the vet twice before leaving. Health guarantees (free of disease when they leave, free of hip dysplasia at the age of 2 years). The deposit is refundable if I do not have a pup available for the person giving me the deposit (litter didn't take, not enough girls or boys etc...). If you decide to buy elsewhere after you give me a deposit, it is NOT refundable."

Parent health testing
Excellent level
Spindletop Airedale Terriers reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for Airedale Terriers.
Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Protein-Losing Nephropathy (PLN; NPHS1 Gene Variant)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
