I'm Dana B., the breeder behind Spunkypaws Chihuahuas located in Hood River, OR. My goal is to raise happy, healthy puppies that adhere to the breed standard. Why did you start breeding?
I started breeding because my mom bred dogs and she tempted me with cute puppies!What makes your program special?
I think what sets my program apart is my drive to always try to improve. I would love for more people to have beautiful chihuahuas that look the way a chihuahua is actually supposed to look, regardless of if they plan to show.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

“Price includes limited AKC registration, 2 year health guarantee, and lifetime support. Puppy will be wormed & puppy shots started. No deposit will be taken until a specific puppy is being reserved.”

Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
