Meet the breeder

I'm Michelle W., the breeder behind Sstar located in Oscoda, MI. My dogs are my family first. We love to compete in AKC, UKC and International dog shows, Fast cats, and Mushing. Puppies available sometimes out of health tested parents when I am looking for a new one to keep back. We breed 1st for temperament and health and a great family pet. We breed to the standard for the breed. We are only having a litter when we plan on keeping back a puppy.

Q. & A. with Michelle

  • Why did you start breeding?

I have always loved the Siberian Husky breed and I was picked by one 25 years ago. I soon decided I wanted to help others find joy in a well-bred pet, working prospect or show prospect. Along with the siberians I have always had a few german shepherds and breed them every couple yrs from health tested dogs and only if they have the best mind set.
  • What makes your program special?

Our dogs are our pets first and our breeding dogs second. They are always health tested to ensure you are getting the healthiest puppy possible. These dogs are my babies so they are very spoiled and fed very well. I breed first for myself in keeping a new show/working companion and the rest are offered up for loving pet homes. WEBSITE IS OUT OF DATE.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Our German Shepherd puppies include plush, long, and stock coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our German Shepherd puppies include sable, black, black and red, and bi-color. Siberian Husky puppies include gray and white, sable and white, red and white, black tan and white, black and white, agouti and white, and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

    Verified owner · June 2025

Michelle was amazing at all stages of the process. She ensured the pup would have a secure home with her questions initially and then was extremely responsive and flexible in helping us get ready for and finally meet up with our new pup. We really appreciated the updates along the way and we could not be happier with our chosen pup. We are far from Michelle but would likely use her in the future as well.

  • Jesus P.

    Verified owner · May 2025

Michelle was very attentive in all questions regarding the puppy, she’s very friendly and explain in details. When we travel to her place, she’s keeping in touch to make sure our arrival was in a good spot, all her communication was 100% and the moment of arrival I get to meet her, the puppy mom but unfortunately not the dad just in a great picture.
