Meet the breeder

I'm Stacy M., the breeder behind StaFra German Shepherd Dogs located in Anderson, SC. We take responsible breeding very seriously! All of our dogs are AKC Registered, Titled, Embark tested, DM Clear, OFA and SV Hips and Elbows. We raise our puppies with Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) and in our home. In doing so, we can prepare them for their future roles and families.

Q. & A. with Stacy

  • Why did you start breeding?

I was raised with parents who trained and bred their hunting dogs. - Chesapeake Bay Retriever. I loved being with our dogs and being able to be a part of an ethical program. I continued with the same strict rules and testing my parents did in raising, training, showing and breeding my own dogs after I was an adult. Over 30 years in dogs, I still breed with a intentional purpose.
  • What makes your program special?

I searched long and hard for the lines I wanted in my dogs and in future generations. I chose my foundation dogs for health, longevity, soundness in body, temperament , type and willingness to work as they are bred for. I do not breed any of my dogs until all tests with Embark breeders panel, hips and elbows are xrayed and graded by SV in Germany or OFA. We are actively training & titling.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Our puppies include plush and long coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include sable, black, black and tan, and bi-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
