I'm Ailynn K., the breeder behind Stargazer/ Des Etoiles Berger Picards located in Redmond, WA. I'm committed to breeding healthy puppies with great temperaments who grow up to try out many dog sports and be the best companions. The goal I set and which I believe is still the most important is to produce healthy puppies that make a well-rounded character in an adult dog.

Why did you start breeding?
I began showing my third OES. Her breeder encouraged me to get into it, and to get involved with the club, and eventually with breeding. The 2020 litter was my first. I am being mentored by many experienced breeders. Now I have Bergers Picards who are amazing dogs.What makes your program special?
I am learning from many breeders of OES and Picards, and I am committed to studying their best practices. I do all the OFA tests and DNA tests on dogs and puppies. I hope to keep in touch with all the puppies for their whole lives so that I can learn how to be a better breeder.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Ailynn partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 8 weeks old.

Hip Dysplasia

Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA)
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
