I'm Christine S., the breeder behind Starry Night Black Russian Terriers located in Moscow, ID. I am a small hobby breeder. My litters are carefully and responsibly bred through extensive research into pairings, full health/genetic testing (published), using breeding pairs proven in competition, and careful temperament analysis. I work with and am mentored by other breeders in the BRT community.
Q. & A. with Christine
Why did you start breeding?
I come from breeding and competition in the horse world. My decision to breed Black Russian Terriers grew over the years in the breed and finally arriving at the point where I believe I have some skill sets that can contribute positively to the breed.
What makes your program special?
My breeding program is focused on improving and preserving the BRT. My goal is to use health testing and technology now available to preserve genetic diversity and minimize health pitfalls while breeding structurally correct dogs that meet the breed standard and have consistent, dependable temperaments for both competition and the family home.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
