I'm Christina P., the breeder behind Storybook Kennels located in Concord, NC. We focus on taking all of those amazing traits that a German shepherd is known for such as intelligence and loyalty, courage and compassion, and breeding and creating a dog that is even temperament and eager to please. We hope this dog can go on to become an amazing family pet, or perhaps even a service dog to those in need.
Q. & A. with Christina
Why did you start breeding?
In the 90s a tremendous amount of backyard breeders turned the amazing Shepherd into a temperamental and bodily mess. I knew what an amazing and versatile breed they were and longed to help bring them back to their former glory.
What makes your program special?
The number of pups who have grown into service dogs and detection animals who have changed people's lives.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
