I'm Debbie H., the breeder behind Strider’s American Hairless Terriers located in Texas. Our program was built with care and intention in every step. We are passionate about this breed, and we want our program to be an example of how to responsibly breed high-quality, healthy dogs. We believe our dogs can be beautiful, healthy and athletic whether they are performing in the ring or at home. Our dogs are currently excelling in multiple sports disciplines which is a testament to their temperament, drive and ability to perform. Our absolute highest goal is for your Strider puppy to find his forever home, whether as a competitor in the ring or the king of your lap.

“Huey” Striders Hip To Be Square is looking for a couch near you! Huey has decided that he’d rather be a star at home instead of in the ring. He’s a beautiful, funny, personality plus 4.5 month black/white piebald boy who loves to cuddle. He’s well on his way to potty trained & is turf pad trained. He’s crate trained-leash trained, tolerates the drimmel and rides well in the car daily to and from work. He lives with a Doberman ad has been exposed to cats. He is a Riker by Match puppy and has completed all of his vaccinations and is microchipped. Give us a shout if you’d like to know how to bring a little more Hip in your life!

Strider’s American Hairless Terriers reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for American Hairless Terriers.
Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
Congenital Deafness (BAER, registered with OFA)
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
DNA Disease Panel, Primary Lens Luxation (PLL)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
