Meet the breeder

I'm Amber T., the breeder behind Strong Water Malamutes located in Giddings, TX. Strong Water Malamutes is a family-based hobby enjoyed by son Alex (Age 14) my husband and my self. All of our dogs are family. The breeding, training, and showing of our dogs is very much a family activity. Our dogs live in our home with us. You will find our dogs in our beds, on our couches, or running in the backyard when not in a show ring. It is my intent as a breeder and owner of these wonderful animals to; work with, love, exhibit, enjoy, and produce beautiful, sound -tempered, healthy, and "correct" Alaskan Malamutes which remain true to the AKC Breed Standard. I strive to produce examples that are sound of mind and body, who are capable of the original work, therapy, breed education, competition, and companionship! Each of our dogs is an ambassador of the breed where ever it travels and we take that responsibility very seriously. Malamutes have a high pray drive, if you have cats, another small dog, or small animals in the home this is not the dog for you. They are a working dog they require room to run and play. Malamutes are same sex aggressive to other dogs. This means if you have a male lab, a male malamute is not an option for you. However a female malamute may make a great buddy to you and your lab. In the interest of our dogs the following are REQUIREMENTS for consideration of us placing one of them with you: 1) We will not place a puppy with someone living in an apartment or condo. No exceptions. 2) You must have a well fenced in yard. We will require pictures and possibly do a home visit to verify this.

We maintain a priviate Face Book where you can remain in contact with your puppies brothers and sisters if you chose too.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include seal and white, black and white, and gray and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

It was great! Amber is a very responsible breeder and asks the right questions up front because the mal breed is challenging and not for everyone. Amber cares about these animals and was very helpful the first few weeks.
