I'm Adriana, the breeder behind Sua Sponte GSDs located in Colorado Springs, CO. Our goal is to breed multi-functional, level headed dogs with strong bodies, large bones, and heads with nerves of steel; all while being raised in a family atmosphere giving them a natural family protection instinct that brings great sociability.
Q. & A. with Adriana
Why did you start breeding?
Sua Sponte GSDs was founded with the goal to eventually donate a pup or two from each litter to the men and women who served our country in war and now need service dogs. We loved our first Czech and his temperament so it just took off from there.
What makes your program special?
Our litters are carefully planned and breedings paired appropriately to maintain the wonderful temperaments and structures of the Czech GSDs. We believe in line breeding and will sometimes bring in an outside stud if we feel he meets our standards.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include sable and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
