I'm John P., the breeder behind SummerWind Farm Greyhounds located in Moreland, GA. Our breeding goals are to breed Greyhounds of the athletic excellence, lovely companionable temperaments and robust good health that are the historical legacy of the Greyhound breed. We performance health test our breeding stock in running competitions for athletic excellence and health.
Please note that because Greyhound puppies need to run daily in an attached fenced yard to develop properly, WE DO NOT SELL PUPPIES TO PEOPLE WHOSE PRIMARY RESIDENCE IS AN APARTMENT, CONDO OR TOWNHOUSE THAT DOES NOT HAVE AN ADJOINING FENCED YARD.
Q. & A. with John
Why did you start breeding?
Our original and continuing goal in Greyhound breeding is to help preserve and extend the English open coursing Greyhound bloodlines. Our first two sires were English coursing standouts Hardy Admiral and Basso Profondo, who came from England to live with us in 2006.
What makes your program special?
We breed from a unique combination of English coursing Greyhound bloodlines and American, Irish and Australian racing Greyhound bloodlines. Our goal is that all of our Greyhound puppies will be both pets and sporting dogs in their homes.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Price
Connect with John to learn more details about pricing.
“Since our breeding program is a hobby on which we do not seek to make a profit, our puppy prices are determined by dividing the total of our out-of-pocket expenses related to each litter by the number of puppies in the litter. The deposit is refundable only if we cannot provide you with a puppy. We do not guarantee that we can provide you with a puppy of a particular gender or color.”
Contract & health guarantee
John may provide a written contract or
health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps
protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you
both have a clear understanding of the terms of your
