I'm Karen G., the breeder behind Sunburst Kennel and Shadowriver Farm located in Carbon, IN. I am not planning any litters right now.. sorry, pls reach out to Kangal Club of America I am a Kangal breeder focusing on producing strong working guardian dogs for the farm and family. There are many livestock guardian breeds, and like people, they are not all alike and work the same. I researched the Kangal breed for many years and learned what is needed to produce a high-quality Kengal pup.

Why did you start breeding?
I wanted to breed versatile, healthy Kangals. I prioritize health testing to ensure I am only producing the healthiest pups for my puppy buyers.What makes your program special?
Nothing brings me more satisfaction and joy than seeing my puppies thrive in the world. I spend countless hours providing each puppy I bring into this world with the fundamental basics for the best start in life.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and guardian homes.
Getting a puppy from Karen
Karen has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Price
Puppy prices include a $500 refundable deposit and between $1,300 - $2,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.
“Deposit is not refundable, however, there may be exceptions. We will try to match the puppy to what you are needing on your farm or home.”

Karen may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.
