I'm Sunny Chestnut F., the breeder behind Sunny Chestnut Farm located in Boone, NC. Sunny Chestnut Farm is situated on 100 acres of woods, trails, and streams at an elevation of 4500 ft in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. With the extreme weather at this location, along with loads of snow, an active outdoor lifestyle, children, and other pets, the Berner is absolutely the perfect dog for us. Breeding and training my Bernese Mountain Dogs is not only a hobby but a passion. Our dogs are a huge part of our family and live in our home with us. All of our Berners have been genetically tested for Von Willibrands, Sod1b and DM to ensure that we are not only contributing to the breed but also providing an amazing pet and companion. We practice ENS/Puppy Culture techniques and puppies are whelped and raised in our home with the rest of the family. They are exposed to numerous different animals (big and small) as well as friends and family.
I hold certification from Animal Behavioral College as well as having completed multiple classes through AKC Canine College on breeding, genetics, confirmation, judging and CGC evaluating.
Please check out our website and instagram for more information and a lot of pictures of our beautiful Berners, living their best dog life!

I got into breeding through training.
What makes your program special?
