I'm Haylee M., the breeder behind Sunset Golden Retrievers and English Setters located in Athens, GA. We hold ourselves to the highest standard when it comes to our dogs and our policies. We take responsible breeding very seriously. Our breeding program focuses on maintaining the unique characteristics specific to the breed while striving to produce puppies of superior health, temperament, and conformation. My goal is to breed the all around dog. I want puppies that can excel in anything from the conformation ring to field work to service/ therapy dog work.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our Golden Retriever puppies are golden. English Setter puppies include blue belton and tan (tri-color), blue belton, and orange belton. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

“Puppies parents are completely health tested for hips dysplasia, elbows dysplasia, eye issues and heart problems as well as being embark tested for over 180 different genetic conditions. Mom and dad are both retired show dogs. Dad is a grand champion mom is AkC pointed in showing conformation. Puppies are already AKC registered and microchiped with age appropriate vaccines.”

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Congenital Deafness (BAER, registered with OFA)
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
