I'm Tara H., the breeder behind Sunshine Doodles located in Boise, ID. Sunshine Doodles is a small Idaho program raising Goldendoodles from health-tested, raw-fed, well-trained parents. Puppies are raised in our home with intentional socialization, enrichment, and a focus on health, temperament, and companionship.

Why did you start breeding?
My love for Goldendoodles started with Hazel and Ted. Their intelligence, trainability, affectionate personalities, and low-shedding coats inspired me to learn more about genetics, nutrition, and puppy development. I created Sunshine Doodles to thoughtfully raise a small number of well-loved family companions.
What makes your program special?
Sunshine Doodles is a small, family-focused program where puppies are raised in our home with daily socialization and enrichment. Hazel and Ted are genetically screened and loved as family members. We prioritize health, temperament, and helping each puppy transition successfully into their forever home.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are medium size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include sable, cream, and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Tara

Tara has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Tara partners with them to find the best puppy match.

“Buyers will be thoroughly screened and approved before being matched with a puppy. Once approved, we will assess each puppy’s temperament at a specific milestone, and we will carefully match each puppy to the most suitable home. This ensures a perfect fit for both puppy and family.”

Price

Puppy prices include a $300 refundable deposit and between $1,200 - $1,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“The price includes early socialization, raw feeding, a go-home kit with training resources, and a vet health check. . All puppies are priced the same, regardless of color or gender. Your pick order is determined by the order of deposits received.”

Contract & health guarantee

Tara may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. If Tara offers a contract or guarantee, the details will be personalized by them. If you have any questions or want to know more, don't hesitate to reach out to Tara directly.

Hazel is a calm, loyal, and highly intelligent Goldendoodle with a naturally watchful personality. She loves being near her people and always seems to know what's going on around her. Hazel enjoys watching squirrels and birds, playing fetch, and joining us on outdoor adventures, but she's just as content relaxing at home. Her steady temperament, trainability, and ability to match the energy of her environment make her an exceptional companion.

Vet Wellness Exam
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
