While many of our young lords and ladies have already secured their matches, two distinguished prospects remain unattached and eager to find their "furever" home: The Eligible Few - • Lady Danbury: A sharp-witted and commanding presence, sure to rule any household with elegance and grace. • Lord Simon: A true diamond of the first water—broodingly handsome, impeccably mannered, and looking for his perfect Duchess. The Rules of Courtship - In the interest of fairness and to avoid any unseemly scandals, please note the following protocol: 1. The Application: Prospective families must make their intentions known. 2. The Deposit: A puppy is only considered "Reserved" upon the receipt and acceptance of a completed deposit. 3. The Order of Precedence: Arrangements are strictly first-come, first-served. One must act with haste if they wish to secure a lifelong companion of such high pedigree. Dearest Gentle Reader, As these young lords and ladies prepare to enter society, one must ensure they are polished, poised, and—most importantly—perfectly behaved. To ensure your doodle does not become a boisterous brute during supper: * The Gentle Touch: Practice placing a hand near their bowl (or adding a "high-value" treat) while they dine. This teaches them that a human presence near their feast brings only more tidings of joy. * The Trading Game: Should they find a "treasure" they shouldn't have, offer a trade for something better. We want them to yield their prizes with the grace of a Duchess, not the greed of a miser. * The Routine: Like the strict schedule of a debutante's ball, consistency is key. Out to the garden after every nap, meal, and play session! * The Coiffure: Daily brushing is the only way to prevent the dreaded "mats" that lead to a scandalous shave-down. * The Pedicure: Handling their paws frequently—and trimming the tips of their "glass slippers" (nails)—ensures they don't click-clack across the ballroom floor like a runaway carriage. At five weeks of age, the newest debutantes and diamonds of the season have officially begun their social ascent. While they may lack for titles, they certainly do not lack for charm—or fluff. The Scandal of the Dish The most scandalous whisper circulating the drawing rooms involves the transition from the nursery bar to the communal dining table. Yes, the litter has begun to partake in "the mush." It is reported that their table manners are, quite frankly, appalling. • The Sight: Chins covered in softened kibble. • The Sound: A chorus of enthusiastic (and messy) lapping. • The Verdict: While unrefined, their appetite for life is nothing short of commendable. The Ballroom Frolics Gone are the days of aimless wobbling. These young lords and ladies have discovered the art of the "zoomie." Dearest Gentle Reader, While some spend their days chasing scandals, we have been occupied with a far more golden pursuit. At four weeks of age, these young pups have officially transitioned from "tiny potatoes" to the most charming members of the social season. The Latest Scandals & Successes The First Social Strides Wobbling is out; strutting is in. Their legs, once as unstable as a suitor’s nerves during a proposal, are now carrying them across the playpen with newfound grace. They have begun to engage in the most spirited bouts of play—though, truth be told, a single yawn from a sibling often ends the duel. Finding Their Voices Silence is no longer the fashion. The nursery is now filled with tiny "muffs" and high-pitched yaps. It seems they have much to say about the quality of the bedding and the promptness of their mother’s arrival. As they continue to grow, one can only wonder which of these precious souls will be named the "Diamond of the Season."
