I'm Elizabeth H., the breeder behind Swift Whippets located in Duluth, MN. I strive to breed send new owners home with an exceptional partner. I place emphasis on health, conformation, intelligence and temprament. Most of my puppies will be independent and outgoing. I am to produce pups that are bidable, curious, and free of inheritable health issues.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I am purposeful in everything I do regarding my dogs, including careful selection of breeding dogs and extensive health testing. My goal is to produce healthy dogs with a confident and happy temperament. My secondary goals are teachability, intelligence, and speed
  • What makes your program special?

    All my dogs are fully health tested and are excellent representatives of what a whippet is supposed to be in both temperament and structure. I'm dedicated to being a responsible breeder and I always put the needs of my dogs first. I provide unique socialization opportunities for my pups. The experiences they have will make them ready to handle new situations with confidence.

Puppy prices include between $2,500 - $3,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

  • Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Congenital Deafness (BAER, registered with OFA)

    A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

  • DNA Profile

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
