I'm Dawn C., the breeder behind Tall Oak Bassets located in Lagrange, GA. We are offering beautiful basset hounds. We have been Basset owners our entire lives and want to offer them to families who love them as well! Our entire family is involved with our program. These sweet, long eared babies are worthy of love and we are committed to raising them with compassion!

    I have a deep love for basset hounds and want to contribute to preserving or improving the breed.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include mahogany and white, lemon and white, brown and white, black white and brown, and black and brown. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Dawn

Puppy prices include a $200 non-refundable deposit and $750 final payment, before taxes & fees.

All of our puppies are the same price regardless of color, markings, male or female. Deposits are nonrefundable unless something unforeseen occurs while the puppy is in my care.”

Dawn may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.   • Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Genetic Diversity Test, DNA Profile, Wisdom Panel

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

    Tall Oak Bassets is great to work with. Dawn stayed in close touch, sending photos, and was always available to answer questions.     So, I have got to say this has been the best experience ever. Dawn helped me fulfill a 15-year dream for my wife in having another Basset Hound. I was also doing this as a surprise Anniversary and valentines day gift. She helped me keep all of this a big secret until Saturday the 14th. Dawn loves these dogs and people so much. She has a heart of gold and will do just about anything to help you have the best experience you can. I can go on for a while here but for time's sake if you are looking for a good breeder that you can trust and have a good relationship with and trust that you are getting a great dog that has been cared for at the top level then you definitely need to use Dawn at Tall Oak Bassets. Dawn from the bottom of my heart I want to say thank you. You made a dream come true and filled an empty hole for in my wife's heart fore sure. Thank you .
