I'm Marlena B., the breeder behind Tatties Ranch located in Vernon, AZ. Our Anatolian Shepherds and Komondor have experience working with goats, sheep, horses, rabbits, chickens and turkeys. We breed by AKC standards and health test all of our dogs. We have lovely Newfoundlands that bless our house with their companionship.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    We love to share the love of our dogs and to educate others on how working livestock guardians interact with their charges, how they communicate with each other and how they rely on their natural instincts. As an RN and former Lamaze instructor, I am fascinated with all aspects of human and animal reproduction. I dedicated many years of my life to all aspects of gestation and parturition.

  • What makes your program special?

    We incorporate breed standards as a guide in our breeding program. We health test and breed only the best working lines with several generation pedigrees available.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our Anatolian Shepherd Dog puppies include gray fawn and fawn. Newfoundland puppies are black. Komondor puppies are white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Getting a puppy from Marlena

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Marlena partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Puppy prices include a $500 deposit and between $800 - $1,750 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“First round of vaccinations, microchip, deworming, puppy socialization. Puppies may go home as early as 8 weeks to previous LGD owners, or 10-12 weeks for new livestock guardian owners. Puppies must be picked up by 12 weeks or boarding fees will apply. Deposits accepted at 4 weeks of age.”

Marlena may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.
