Terceira Tail Blazers

Melanie M.

Breeder of Barbado da Terceiras

Meet the breeder

I'm Melanie M., the breeder behind Terceira Tail Blazers located in North Little Rock, AR. Our dogs are beloved pets and we consider all the puppies in a litter a part of our family. Breeding choices are made based on the Barbado Da Terceira USA Club recommendations, promoting breed standards, health, and best temperament.

Q. & A. with Melanie

  • Why did you start breeding?

I feel in love with the unique personality and devotedness of the BDT. As a rare breed, they we're endangered. Because they are so very special, I decided to help preserve the breed by breeding my female. I then had a wonderful opportunity to get an excellent male from Portugal, and the rest is history.
  • What makes your program special?

I only breed in careful connection to the mandates and standards set by the BDT-USA club. My puppies have a lot of love and care, are raised in my home, and are excellent quality.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
