I'm Allysa C., the breeder behind Terminal Velocity Kennels LLC located in Virginia. TVK offers active companion XL APBTs and XL American Bullies focused on structure, health, and temperament. Our dogs live a fulfilling life on 10 acres. We strive to raise the bar by regularly improving our program. Our goal is to produce pups that will live long lives as part of your family!

Why did you start breeding?
My husband and I fell in love with an 8mos pit mix named Tesla. She was the perfect dog for us but she had behavioral issues that we put large amounts of time and money into. After our experience with Tesla our next dog we looked to get from a quality breeder. After seeing how selective breeding and a quality start impacted a puppies life it inspired us to create exactly what we wanted in a dog.What makes your program special?
Here at TVK we are working to improve APBTs reputation while selecting parents based on structure, heath and temperament. Our puppies are enriched with a hybrid curriculum of puppy culture and advanced empowered breeder curriculum. This gives them the best start to their lives where they go home with a report, crate trained and ready for anything their new owners throw their way.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our American Pit Bull Terrier puppies include red, fawn, blue fawn, blue, blue brindle, and black brindle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

"Price includes all age appropriate vaccinations, embark DNA test, microchip, deworming, and vet check. UKC/ABKC registration is conditionally available for an additional fee. Ear cropping offered. Deposit holds your spot for selection of pups at 7 weeks old. Puppies are selected in pick order, higher picks means more selection to choose from. Deposits are transferrable to a future litter."

Litter update on 02 Jan 2025 •Puppies started crate introductions today. They are buddied up and only took 10-15 minutes to fully settle. They slept for about an hour before the first one woke up to go potty.

Litter update on 28 Nov 2024 •Puppies are almost 2 weeks old. We have some already opening their eyes. They are starting to potty away from their sleeping spots. This is where we start the potty training process with puppy pads.

About Dually
Dually is a male American Pit Bull Terrier. Carefully selected as a great representative of his breed, Allysa decided to make him part of their program. Allysa has passed Good Dog’s screening process, which involved a review of their breeding practices, environment, and the mental and physical health of their dogs.

About Mercury
Mercury is our little wildcard. She is one of the happiest dogs with lots of drive. She is incredibly smart with fantastic focus and love for her people. She has high prey, toy, and defensive drive. Her favorite things to do are snuggle on the couch, roughhouse with her best friends, and run around our yard with her ball.

About Cali Girl
Cali is the only female from our first litter. She has that little spark in her from mom and her dad’s laid back personality. She has high defensive and play drive but is the first to settle out of the youngsters. This girl loves to be with her father, she’s a real daddies girl. Her favorite things to do are playing with her brother Seb, annoying her mother, and cuddling up on the couch with the crew.

About Ophi
Ophi is pick male from our first litter. He has the sweetest personality with a little bit of his mother’s drive. He is very functional for his size with moderate drive. Overall, during selection, his structure is what stood out to us most with his coat being a great bonus! Ophi’s favorite things to do are destroying balls, chasing his siblings, and sniffing around the yard.

Electra is the life of the party! High drive and activity level. She enjoys running around catching her frisbee or tugging on the spring pole. Even though she is very active, she is also the sweetest girl. She has an excellent temperament and is great with people, dogs of all sizes, and children.

Radar is a big ball of love. He has yet to meet a stranger! He is a very enthusiastic greeter but watch out because he is 100+lbs of muscle. Our big man thinks he’s a lap dog like our little Pomeranian.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA)
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

+5Allyssa was great, she sent weekly updates on the puppies and did a thorough diagnostic of the puppies behavior and how they would interact with the family. Any questions I had she was quick to respond back with an answer. She was also flexible and accommodating when it came to picking up the puppies.
