At Texas Legacy Dalmatians our goal is raising healthy, friendly and the best all around family pets we can offer. Our dogs are family first and foremost and we try to place puppies who feel the same way about their Dalmatians.

Our program was passed down from a Dalmatian breeder of 35 years whose focus was health and temperaments first and foremost. We strive to always uphold those same values and better the Dalmatian breed with adaptable, friendly, family pets.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Getting a puppy from Brittany
Brittany has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
Brittany partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 6 weeks old.
“We always strive to match puppies with new families based on observed temperaments, while taking into account families personal preferences on their new family member. We begin matching pups to families after BAER testing is completed around 5-6 weeks of age. At this time we have a better idea of personalities/temperaments of each pup and will discuss this with each family at selection time. ”

“Pricing includes all of their registration papers, current vaccinations, up to date dewormings, vet examinations, microchips already implanted, health and genetic guarantees and BAER testing results.”

About Belle
Belle is our gorgeous longcoat female. She is a liver carrier. Heterozygous LUA (low uric acid). Perfect bilateral hearing. OFA Hips - Good. CAER Eyes - Normal. Belle is an amazing mom and exact what we look for in a dam. She is very easy to live with. Loves kids and other dogs. Her favorite thing to do is swim. She's like a fish and will head straight for the pool or tank any chance she gets.

About Blaze
Blaze is as handsome as he is sweet. He is shorthaired, longcoat carrier. He is also a liver carrier. Homozygous LUA (low uric acid). He has bilateral perfect hearing. OFA Prelim hips - Good. CAER Eyes - Normal. PRA - Negative. Blaze is a respectful boy who is the perfect gentleman with the ladies. He's great with kids and other dogs as well. He's a great family dog, and the exact temperament we want in a sire.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Congenital Deafness (BAER, registered with OFA), Vet Wellness Exam
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
