I'm Terri W., the breeder behind The Basset Hound Den located in Hubbard, OH. I have Basset Hounds. My dogs stole my heart right from the start and I found myself wanting to get more involved with maintaining the breed standard. Breeding was a natural next step and I haven’t looked back since!

Why did you start breeding?
I love the breed so much. I started out before 2021 helping a friend with her breeding program and learned very valuable information. In time she retired and I started breeding on my own at that time.What makes your program special?
We breed for temperament, health and try to follow the Akc standard. If any issues arise that would risk our pets health breeding we will not breed them. Our dogs are our pets first and foremost. They get spayed/neutered and remain with us as a pet.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include white black and red, red and white, blue and white, black white and tan, tan and white, mahogany and white, lemon and white, brown black and white, blue tan and white, black white and brown, black red and white, and black brown and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Terri
Terri has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Price
Puppy prices include a $150 non-refundable deposit and between $800 - $1,350 final payment, before taxes & fees.
“Basset Hound Akc Registered Basset Hound puppies (limited) $950 Akc Registered Basset Hound & Bloodhound puppies (full- show/breeding rights) $1500. Deposits are to hold your puppy for you and also is applied to everything the puppies need, food, bedding, worming, shots, & etc. Example: $900 pet only.. $150 paid with final amt due $750 at pick up.”
Contract & health guarantee
Terri may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.
