• Why did you start breeding?

  “My journey into breeding Basset Hounds began with a deep love and appreciation for the breed’s unique charm and temperament. Growing up in a farm setting, I was always drawn to animals that embodied both loyalty and character—and Basset Hounds fit that perfectly. Their droopy eyes, long ears, and gentle, affectionate nature made them an ideal companion for country life. What started as admiration quickly grew into a passion for preserving and promoting the best qualities of the breed. I’m committed to raising Basset Hounds that are not only beautiful and true to the standard, but also healthy, well-socialized, and ready to become loving members of the families they join.

• What makes your program special?

  “What makes our Basset Hound breeding program truly special is the level of care, dedication, and family involvement that goes into raising each and every puppy. Our puppies are lovingly raised inside our home, surrounded by our family—including our grandchildren—and even our 90-year-old ‘Mammaw,’ who adores them and spends time rocking and cuddling each one. We believe early socialization and gentle, hands-on care create the foundation for well-adjusted, affectionate dogs. With round-the-clock attention, someone is always present to care for them, and we maintain an exceptionally clean environment by tending to their kennels and play areas every two hours—or sooner when needed. We take great pride in raising not just beautiful Basset Hounds, but happy, healthy companions who are ready to bring joy to their forever families.

• What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

  Our puppies include black red and white, lemon and white, and black brown and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

• Where do your breeding dogs live?

  They live in my home.
