I'm Peggy P., the breeder behind The Old Red Barn Kennel located in Wright County, MO. Our German Shepherds are excellent representations of their breed, and we are proud to offer our puppies to loving homes. When we bring a life into this world, we take that responsibility seriously and do everything we can to make sure it gets the best start possible. Additionally, any pup or dog from our program is a part of our pack for life, and we will always have a home for them here if they need it.
Q. & A. with Peggy
Why did you start breeding?
I got into breeding back in the late
90's. And just had a few then just bought more. And enjoyed the fellowship of other Breeders. And learned a lot from the Dog clubs. Know I would like help people to find good homes for the homeless dogs. No matter the breed.
What makes your program special?
I'm a small breeder now only one female. I'm going older and don't feel like I can give a lot of attention to the dogs. I had up to 35 at one time. It's a lot of work!! This may be the last litter
I love dogs and think that they are the best pet. I raised a lot of different breeds. And they are all over this United States and so in Canada. But German Shepherd's are my favorite.
What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our puppies have stock coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
