I'm Veytia H., the breeder behind The Texas Doodle Patch located in College Station, TX. We are a small family breeding program that raises our babies in-home to ensure they are socialized and trained to be a perfect part of the family. We genetically health test all of our parents to ensure they will produce healthy puppies. We are an in-home program where our dogs are our companions first and foremost. We are dedicated to providing each of our puppies with loving and caring forever homes.
Q. & A. with Veytia
Why did you start breeding?
I worked in rescue for a short time and, while I adored the dogs, I struggled with how poorly the world views and treats rescue animals. My veterinarian offered to guide me into the world of breeding so that I could put my love and passion to creating a better world for dogs. I have now been breeding for over 18 years. The fulfillment of seeing new puppies born, watching them grow, and helping shape them and train them in preparation for their new forever homes is the most rewarding experience ever!
What makes your program special?
All of our puppies are born in our home, often in my lap, so they are handled and nurtured from the moment they enter this world. I socialize all of my puppies with other animals and people here at our home. They are raised in my living room, so they are exposed to the hustle and bustle of a family home. We also begin crate and potty training so they will learn very quickly at their new homes. I am very dedicated to what I do and what I aim to achieve as a breeder. I work with passion, heart, and integrity, and I truly want what's best for my dogs and puppies.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies include medium and standard sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include cream and apricot. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
