I'm Tyler G., the breeder behind The West Acres located in Maryville, MO. The West Acres is located on 220-acre riverside estate in the heart of northwest Missouri. We have been able to call this land home since the spring of 1988. We have spent years raising healthy and happy puppies! We are dedicated to building the breed by ensuring breed standards are passed down.

Tyler has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
After buyers complete the application and screening process, Tyler partners with them to find the best puppy match.

"This price includes the health guarantee (on our site), the deposit, and access to our network of families on social media! In order for us to hold a puppy for you, we will need a deposit under your name. This deposit is nonrefundable, guarantees you the puppy you've chosen, and will be credited towards the total cost!"
Tyler may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. He is curious, playful, and always eager to explore, but he also has a calm, affectionate side and enjoys spending time close to his people. Leo carries himself with the proud, lively presence that makes Westies so beloved! He has a beautiful snowy coat, a keen expression, and a sturdy build true to the breed. Leo’s puppies often inherit his cheerful temperament, confidence, and unmistakable Westie charm! 🐾

Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered), Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA), Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
