Meet the breeder

I'm the breeder behind The West Acres located in Maryville, MO. The West Acres is located on 220-acre riverside estate in the heart of northwest Missouri. We have been able to call this land home since the spring of 1988. We have spent years raising healthy and happy puppies! We are dedicated to building the breed by ensuring breed standards are passed down.

Q. & A. with Tyler

  • Why did you start breeding?

In 1989 we purchased our first Westie, and quickly fell in love with the breed! Since then the hobby has turned into a family affair between both parents and children (now grown) that has proven a wonderful way to stay close as a family!
  • What makes your program special?

Because we're one of the oldest, if not the oldest breeders currently in the US, we've had over three decades to refine our bloodlines firsthand, ensuring that we only introduce the healthiest, happiest, and most beautiful puppies into our bloodlines! These are our pets and we can't wait to share the love with you! We offer a MASSIVE social network for all of our new families to stay in touch!
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies are white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
