I'm Alexa Y., the breeder behind Three Silo Bedlington Terriers located in Columbus, OH. Our goal is to retain the Bedlington Terrier breed type: correct conformation, temperament, and drive - as well as diverse genetics. Puppies are given the best head start: ENS, Puppy Culture methods, exposure to different sights/sounds/experiences, beginning crate and potty training, etc.
Q. & A. with Alexa
Why did you start breeding?
I started this journey in 2020 after revisiting my childhood dream of adding a Bedlington Terrier to my family. I am SO grateful to the experienced breeders and show exhibitors that helped me gain knowledge, as well as grooming and show experience, in order to get to this point of having puppies!
What makes your program special?
The emphasis of my breeding program is truly to preserve the Bedlington Terrier. Parent dogs are fully health-tested according to the Breed Club standards, have excellent temperaments, and have been proven to have correct type and structure. They are also family pets that we enjoy immensely! Importantly, it is also a privilege to carry on very unique and successful bloodlines from Europe - a treasure to have genetic diversity in this rare breed!
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include sandy, liver, and blue. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
