Meet the breeder

I'm Debbi G., the breeder behind Thumb Coast Bernese located in Port Huron, MI. Our dogs are bred for health and temperament with a focus on confirmation and intelligence. We strive to provide our families with healthy family pets.

Q. & A. with Debbi

  • Why did you start breeding?

I have owned and showed dogs since the early '90s. We fell in love with this breed and wanted to contribute to making the breed better. Bernese are great family dogs and we wanted to help make other people's dreams come true by owning one of these fabulous dogs.
  • What makes your program special?

We extensively research pedigrees to make sure that our breeding dogs compliment each other. We strive to always breed better.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies are black rust and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
