I'm Josh and Ashley S., the breeder behind Timber Ridge Kennels located in Montgomery, TX. Our puppies are excellent representations of their breed, and we are proud to offer our high-quality puppies to loving homes. It’s important to us that we continue to improve our program and share our knowledge with our buyer families. We want to better the breed through health testing and selective breeding decisions. We make sure our puppies are well socialized and get daily interaction with children. We are always there for our buyer families to answer any questions throughout the life of your dog.
Q. & A. with Josh and Ashley
Why did you start breeding?
i bought my first Ridgeback in 2003. In short, she was the best dog I have ever owned. After having her for a couple of years I decided to start breeding. I bought a male and opened Timber Ridge Kennels.
Rhodesian Ridgebacks seems to have the same effect on most people: once you have one you will never want any other dog. They bond well with one person while remaining a friendly family dog.
What makes your program special?
Our goal is to breed healthy, beautiful, well socialized dogs. We strive to always improve our breeding program and do what we can to pass on great qualities in our puppies.
We welcome anyone who wants to come and interact with these dogs to bring the family. You deserve to see these remarkable pups for yourself. If you live too far, we will gladly ship them anywhere "within reason." We have a pet nanny that is wonderful and so great with our puppies.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are rd whtn blk nose. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in a kennel on my property.

Josh and Ashley were so nice and so caring and never hesitated in my interest in purchasing Sailor. They sent me pictures of him and videos and made me so happy to purchase him. They answered all my questions and concerns promptly. The transportation with a flight nanny went smoothly and I had Sailor in my arms without any problems. We love him and are having such a fantastic time with him and he get's along beautifully with my other Rhodesian Belle. Good Dog is so easy to work with and prompt on all correspondence, guarantees and medical records. It was a pleasure going through Good Dog to give Sailor his forever home. Thank you!!
