I'm Tonia T., the breeder behind Tonia's Rhodesian Ridgebacks located in Oklahoma City, OK. Health, temperament, and contributing to betterment of the breed are paramount in breeding decisions. Our dogs are a part of our family; we breed pets who also have a drive for coursing, obedience, athleticism to go where you go. Puppies try new things daily and are assessed to match their people.
Q. & A. with Tonia
Why did you start breeding?
I wanted to partner with my breeder after 4 years of investing in the program through my developing love of different events and training. Avasa is a dual champion, all owner-handled, and continues to develop with me in obedience, coursing, and in the future, agility and what all may come. I found the breed when I had a rescue Weimaraner, so it is clear I have a passion for independent-minded dogs!
What makes your program special?
Our focus is on stewarding the breed through health and temperament-based decisions and the development of puppies. Pet and companion first! The rest is all icing on the cake.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and guardian homes.
